# Volume

Volume is often a key metric in determining if a breakout is a fake-out or if it is possibly real. Typically, if a breakout is sustained with low volume, then usually the breakout may turn out to be a false alarm. However, if a breakout is accompanied with strong volume, it is usually a sign that the rally can be sustained.

CFDHero allows our users to include a Volume indicator. The volume indicator can be configured by setting an average volume over the previous X number of time interval (candlesticks). It does not include the volume in the current candlestick.
